Megan McLarenRegistered Clinical Counsellor
Megan obtained her degree from the Adler School of Professional Psychology and is registered with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors. Using a Narrative Therapy approach, Megan has experience working with clients presenting with a wide array of concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, LGBTQ, life transitions, separation and family of origin, among many others. The process of counselling is unique for every individual and it is a collaborative process between the client and the clinician. You are always the expert in your own life; Megan’s job is to walk along side you in your journey to wellness, satisfaction and self-discovery while shining lights on parts of your story that demonstrate your other ways of being that are more adaptive. Megan draws upon many areas of knowledge and experience to provide clients with a place that is safe, accepting and non-judgemental.

In addition to a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, Megan is also a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader and has a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Major in Psychology and a Minor in Communications. She is also an improv comedian, an actor, an aspiring writer and a dodgeball player. One day, Megan hopes to work in the film industry as a consultant for accurate depictions of psychotherapy in cinema to debunk myths and misconceptions about the field of psychology.

At this time, Megan is accepting referrals for teens and adults (individuals only).
